The customer has cold rolled steel sheets to lift. The thin sheets can be as thin as 1 mm. They want to lift one sheet at a time without sticking to the sheet below. And there is surface tension that will affect the magnetic force.
HVR MAG designed the lifting magnet with adjustable magnetic force to ensure one sheet can be lifted at a time. How does it work? The lifting magnet has functions of "PRE-MAG" and "MAG". When the magnet landed on the sheet surface, the operator presses "PRE-MAG", thus only part of the rated lifting force will work on the steel sheet. The operator can continue to lift the sheet up in the air. When it is about 10 cm high, the operator presses "MAG", and the full rated magnetic force is activated. So he or she can keep lifting or transferring the sheet metal. By this way, the lifting magnet can lift one sheet at a time, without sticking to the second one below.
To conquer the surface tension, the rated magnetic force has been designed a little higher than usual, as well as the magnetic pull force.
After using this lifting magnet, the customer saved a lot of time and energy in lifting cold rolled steel plates and improved their productivity. Compared to the clamps that they were using before; this lifting magnet has become a favorite of their workers.
