Recently, benefiting from the recovery of the manufacturing industry and the speed of investment in new energy vehicles, photovoltaics, and other fields, domestic industrial robots are in short supply, together with the prevailing of robotic arm gripper.
The demand is hot, and industrial robot orders have seen explosive growth
In an industrial robot manufacturer’s factory, a large number of robots are undergoing 72 hours of test operations. These robots can completely replace manpower for welding and handling. Recently, the downstream demand has increased greatly and orders have seen explosive growth.
The two industries that are growing faster are lithium-ion and photovoltaic, and these two industries are probably doubling in orders compared to the past.
In recent years, China’s industrial robot market sales have maintained rapid growth, reaching 256,000 units in 2021, up 49.5% year-on-year.In the first half of 2022, total sales of 131,000 units continued to increase year on year.
The robotic arm gripper market catches up
The rapid growth of the industrial robot market size has also driven the sales of upstream component companies. Grippers, components of robots, are equivalent to human hands and fingers. Their sales have continued to grow in the past two years.
A soft gripper manufacturer in Jiangsu Province has more than doubled its full-year shipments in 2021 compared to its shipments in 2020. And their semi-annual operating income increased by more than 35%.
HVR MAG, as a magnetic gripper manufacturer, has also found its sales growing since 2020. Especially in 2021, the sales almost doubled 2020. Our factory has put much more effort into designing and producing magnets for industrial robots.
Raw material tightens industrial robot supply
Although orders for industrial robots are increasing, many factories are forced to extend their delivery cycles due to a shortage of overseas parts.
In a robot factory in Shanghai, the person in charge said that the recent sales of their company broke through the best level in history. But because of the shortage of raw materials and parts supply, the delivery cycle of their products was affected.
By 2022, the prices of domestic industrial robots began to rise. Industry insiders judge that, at present, most of the new production capacity of industrial robots is still in the construction phase, and the shortage of supply will continue in the short term.
Relying on the development of the robot, the price of magnetic grippers has not increased that much though, its technical requirement will go high.
HVR MAG has faith in the market and believes that robotic arm gripper technology will also develop and grow. We have put efforts in not only electro permanent magnet, but also the controller of the gripper. Hope to serve our customers with optimal quality.
