In our previous article, we did a special column about KUKA robots and magnetic grippers. Today’s focus of robot grippers will be on FANUC and HVR MAG.
Of course, the robots are from different factories in different production lines, which were all configured with grippers designed and manufactured by HVR MAG. Then how do these grippers work?
As the robot grippers from HVR MAG, utilize magnetic clamping force, which means they will only grab ferrous parts and workpieces. The shape, structure, the number of magnetic gripping heads, and gripping force of grippers depend on the specifications of the parts to be handled and other working requirements.
- Transferring irregularly structured large workpiece
- Transferring flat workpiece
- Transferring round workpiece
Unlike electromagneitc grippers in the market, these robotic grippers consume no power in gripping state, only using electricity momentously in magnetization and demagnetization phase. That is to say, they can remain holding of the load even in a sudden power outage, which adds to the competitiveness of HVR MAG’s magnets in automation.
