As we all know, there are three types of magnetic lifters: electromagnets, permanent magnets, and electro-permanent magnets. What about their persistence?
Permanent magnets：
As the name suggests, permanent magnets do not require electricity, and they carry goods by the poles’ magnetism so that no sudden accidents can occur. With the growth of the use, the magnetic force gradually weakens, and unloading is slower.
Electromagnets:
In general, the manufacturers will make full use of the battery systems. When lifting workpieces, the power has suddenly been cut; the electromagnetic system will automatically start the backup power supply to provide electricity and maintain the goods in the absorption state.
Electromagnets can lose strength if coils burn out from being left on too long(15 minutes maximum) or rectifier parts fail. If an electromagnet suddenly stops working, safety hazards have likely occurred in that workplace.
Compared to ordinary magnetic lifers, electro-permanent magnets have low energy consumption, strong and stable magnetic force, and safety. The electro-permanent magnets are only energized when picked up and placed. No electricity is needed during transportation, which significantly reduces energy consumption and avoids the situation of items failing down.
